BVI - Day 2

Cooper Island

We moved the boat over to the far West end of Machioneel Bay near the rock structures for a snorkeling and scuba diving session. We picked up the mooring ball like pros and even kept the elusive boat pole on board. Karen and Peter suited up to dive and we used the dinghy to transport them to the dive spot. We all had a great time exploring the underwater world of coral and sea life.

We cleaned up and had a quick lunch before heading off to Peter Island. This new destination was to become one of our favorite spots in the BVI. It offers good protection, numerous mooring balls, a quiet natural bay with just one lonely restaurant/bar called Ocean's 7. The bar was located well away from the mooring balls and was only open for dinner if someone made reservations. While moored in this bay there is bountiful nature to admire and at night the lights of Tortola (across the Sir Francis Drake Channel) offer a beautiful backdrop.

We put some salmon on the charcoal grill for another incredible evening of Caribbean relaxation. We think we could get used to this lifestyle.
